July 2008 Newsletter
The July 2008 newsletter is now available in the CONA section. The Park Day 2008 Announcement, scheduled for Sunday, August 10, was put out at the same time and is also available in .pdf format.
CERT Training
It is not a question of "if" you will need Community Emergency Response Training classes but "when", you will need this training if not a regional disaster then just your own, a house fire, a child choking, CPR, a wound, car accident, fill in the rest. We are trying to rebuild our CONA team, once the largest in the county. Please consider this your most important contribution to your neighborhood and your family this year. Classes start April 30 and the complete flyer can be accessed here (pdf). Former NERT graduates need only one of the 6 classes to qualify for CERT, call the flyer number for details.
Noise Abatement Procedures
The Monterey Airport Noise Reduction Program has created a noise abatement procedures document which can be found in the complaints section of this web site.
Bookmobile in the Neighborhood
Complete Bookmobile Schedule: We have a unique service to our residents, the city bookmobile visits on Lerwick every two weeks on Thursdays 5:00pm to 5:45pm. Residents can access the library catalog and have their selections brought out on the bookmobile visit. It's a great way to reduce traffic and parking impacts, or you can also visit the library's website here.
